Cleveland is boring?
Thursday, April 8th, 2010If you find yourself bored in the City of Cleveland it is your fault. For us there is never a dull moment, each day reveals yet another dimension of this mystical place. Take for example the picture above, it chronicles our experiences over the last 30 days.
We traveled to HGR Industrial Surplus where we were introduced to a useful instrument that allows us to examine the full spectrum of repetitive events. With our newly acquired Oscilloscope (aka the O-Scope) we journeyed to a field inhabited by a blissful lot of rope-skipping children. Tickling their feet were Cleveland’s beloved baby cobras. In the springtime these yellow and blue elapidae usher in the coming gun months of summer. Their venom is sweet and their victims always become friends.
Watching from the shiny windows of Carnegie were men with manufactured grins and skeptical eyes, they wished to be a part of the fun but were discouraged by The Gatekeepers. The Gatekeepers on first glance were intimidating but we soon learned that their purpose was not to guard the children or cobras (they both know Shaolin Gung-Fu) but to protect The Diamond. The Diamond is Cleveland’s Divine Messenger. She is never to be praised; her sole purpose is to remind those who worship shiny things that theirs is purposeless life.
